Elevated phosphate levels in your aquarium can trigger excessive algae growth and hinder corals and other calcium-secreting organisms from synthesizing calcium carbonate effectively. Maintaining phosphate concentrations below 0.4mg/l in freshwater and 0.2mg/l in saltwater tanks is crucial for a healthy aquatic environment.
This highly efficient phosphate binder is designed to reliably remove phosphates and silicates from both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. For optimal results, use approximately 100ml of media for every 100 liters of aquarium water. Rinse thoroughly before use to ensure maximum performance.
The lifespan of the media depends on the phosphate concentration present—the lower the phosphate levels, the longer the media will last before becoming fully exhausted. This product also comes complete with a convenient media bag for easy handling.
